A lot of people didn’t like I, Robot but personally I thought this was a decent sci-fi action thriller with some nice twists and some excellent scenes, certainly better than average with much of the uplift coming from Smith.

AVP: Alien vs. Predator
A mediocre sci-fi action movie which reminds us that you can’t ignore the dialog, no matter what kind of movie you’re making.
The Bourne Identity
Bourne reboots the entire spy thriller genre with explosive action and a very tight screenplay in this fast paced, high quality thrilling movie.
Constantine
Keanu does well in a role that could have been created for him, and despite the changes from the source material Constantine is a good interpretation of the comic book with some worthwhile scenes and some surprising twists.
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
This excellent quirky movie didn’t do anywhere near as well as it deserved and certainly has its share of flaws and yet is still well worth the effort thanks in part to the visuals and the hard work from everyone in the cast.
Mr & Mrs Smith
This excellent action comedy delivers a high quality script, excellent interaction between Mr and Mrs Smith themselves and some memerable moments putting it well above the rest of the pack.
Van Helsing
A lightweight vampire/monster action comedy with few surprises that is let down by the premise at the end and redeemed only by Hugh, Beckensale and the superb David Wenham.
Max Payne
Sing a lament for what might have been, for what could have been; Max Payne is good looking but the screenplay lacks consistency and integrity.
Midnight Run
Midnight Run is a better than average implementation of a common 80’s theme (buddy-cop action comedy), standing above the others due in no small part to De Niro and the well written dialog.
Quantum of Solace
Quantum of Solace is better than Casino Royale, picks the story up just after Casino finishes and runs with it at an incredible pace until finally bringing it to a satisfying end.
