Truly Naughty Troop Newsletter - Edition 5 - 3rd March 2004 Contents Introduction News Upcoming Events Help Wanted Help Offered Useful Links Feedback ------------ // ------------ Introduction So, another Wednesday arrives, another newsletter is born, and it's gonna be a big un. It's been a bad EQ week for connectivity, some lengthy outages, problems with the patch server, international network connectivity causing problems, and the odd zone crash, but addicts don't let those small issues get in there way, and there were still plenty of you on-line, don't pretend otherwise, I saw you ;) This is our 5th newsletter, so they've been going for just over a month. I'm keen to find out if you think they're worth continuing, or if I should just put up my electronic pen and do something else at work on Wednesday lunchtimes. Let me know - replying to the newsletter e-mail is as good a way as any. You don't need to say much, just 'shut up' or 'keep going' would do. Any feedback appreciated. We have 47 readers now taking the mailing list, which is cool. If we each have 8.5 characters in the guild, then everyone in the guild is reading the newsletter, if not, then some people still aren't subscribed, if you know someone who isn't, then let them know :) The newsletter is not a replacement for the board, and more often than not will just summarise something and provide a link - so, go sign up and take part - pub21.ezboard.com/btrulynaughtytroop You've already signed up to get the newsletter, obviously ;) , but I'd like to encourage you to get your guild-mates to sign up as well. The more folk signed up the better. E-mail addresses will be kept private, and will only be used to send out this newsletter on a weekly basis, so it's safe to sign up. Spread the word! Orth got his clicky and has been asking people to die for a week so he can use it, and Nevina got hers as well. I've helped kill Ragefire (both forms) 3 times now, and he really is a gimp - I know now why people say he no longer drops the CoF. Grats to both of you, and good luck to Sileldar who's now very close. I got a screenshot from one of Ragefire's deaths - which you can gaze at here - www.darkstorm.co.uk/galle...ragefire_1 Chardok - of course, in order to get those epics, TNT had to take out the King in Chardok again a couple of times, and by all reports, it was a good raid, and the king obliged twice, leading to Nevina getting her epic and Sil being able to get closer to his. I hear Thorix picked up a pretty 1HB of some kind, grats Thorix. Ding! - Grats to Deerrunner who hit the magic 60, and is now I believe at the slightly more magic 61. One more level and we'll have another BoT capable slower. Grats Deer - keep up the good work. Also, congratulations to our latest Lord Protector - Lyhom dinged 65 today! HoT Rocked - TNT took time out of it's messing about to go and kick some Dragon ass in HoT. Considering it was the second full raid that TNT has carried out in HoT, it was amazingly successful. Some loot dropped, lots of dragons died, and we only suffered one bout of deaths (6 I think) when one of the gits gated. Recovery was swift, and revenge was swifter and deadly. Must have been a sucky roll ;o) Gone and Come - Kishere came back to the guild after a short departure - she doesn't read the newsletter (she reads the boards instead) - so we should start up a gossip section about her soon ;) (Several people have left and come back recently, including me, but rather than repeat them all, I thought I'd just start with those that did so recently).
