These posts are archives of forum / blog entries I made on my EverQuest guild website. The website won’t be around forever, and I wanted the posts all in one place so I didn’t lose them, this blog seemed like as good a place as any.

Sony is taking more notice of it's customers, and they are making an obvious effort to find out what people think is wrong with the game. Checking through class boards and other EQ related sites shows an increased presence from Devs asking people what they think is wrong, Sony putting some kind of community gathering together, a huge increase in the feedback on the EQLive forums etc. I don't care why Sony is doing this, I'm just glad they are. It still makes me sad (yes, even Evil people can be sad) to see developers talking about stuff on the EQLive forums, and idiots posting three page rants about stuff the developers can obviously do nothing about, or moaning at the developers about how long it took for them to start talking back. It's usually not their fault folks - don't give them a hard time just when they're starting to talk to us. The newsletter is not a replacement for the board, and more often than not will just summarise something and provide a link - so, go sign up and take part - pub21.ezboard.com/btrulynaughtytroop You've already signed up to get the newsletter, obviously ;) , but I'd like to encourage you to get your guild-mates to sign up as well. The more folk signed up the better. E-mail addresses will be kept private, and will only be used to send out this newsletter on a weekly basis, so it's safe to sign up. Spread the word! If you feel like contributing something to the newsletter, or have any feedback on it, please drop me a mail at tnt-newsletter@darkstorm.co.uk and I'll see what I can do. ------------ // ------------ 2. News DING!! Laanyan hit 65, grats :) HoT - HoT went better than ever. Loads of drops. No deaths. A lot has to do with the increasing average level of the raids there, but it's also an indication of our increased confidence and ability. We're still too reliant on individuals, could we do HoT as easily if Rif wasn't there for example? But we're farming HoT now, not struggling to raid it, and that's a major achievement in my view. Get your toons to 55, get them at least dubious to CoV, and get them to HoT for some armour upgrades. Serayus has added a number of new sections to the EZ board forum, they are for Vex Thal keys and PoP progression, pop along and take a look. [Know someone who dinged something significant? Let me know - I'm not always on (no, honestly) so sometimes don't get to see dingage] ------------ // ------------ 3. Zone-mania Everyone hates every zone in the game and no one bothers to send me stuff :p ------------ // ------------ 5. Help Wanted Moonebeam still needs spider silks. 6 points to go till mini-grandmaster status! (200 skill level) Also needed is someone willing to numb their mind and farm groundspawns in Kaladim. Equal numbers of both kinds of mushroom are needed (the groundspawn does NOT spawn them in equal quantities). For each stack of mushrooms, one stack of Kaladim Constitutional will be repaid. ------------ // ------------ 6. Help Offered Moone has the following skill levels in tradeskills (actual numbers to follow), and is usually willing to do any combines that are reasonably expected successes for guildies. Anything that is extremely high above her skill level will be attempted if the person in need insists, but disclaimers regarding likely failure apply. Baking (250 + tropy) [252 effective skill] Pottery (219 + geerlok) [229 effective skill] Brewing (200 + geerlok) [210 effective skill] Blacksmithing (200 + geerlok) [210 effective skill] {Wood Elf, for cultural} Jewelcraft (200 + geerlok) [210 effective skill] Fletching (200 + geerlok) [210 effective skill] {Wood Elf, for cultural} Tailoring (194 + geerlok) [203 effective skill] {Wood Elf, for cultural} If all components are supplied, there is no charge for combines. If components are needed, charge for combine will depend on price and availability of said components. Don't forget - there's also a section of the website where people can record their tradeskills to help others out - check it here - p087.ezboard.com/ftrulyna...ID=3.topic ------------ // ------------ 7. Acronym Buster Snowfyre makes an interesting point, "I've always used "gtg" as "good to go" and that has been my experience on Torvo. I WAS playing another server the other day (trying out a new class) and "gtg" was used more as "got to go" Was a surprise to me when the tank said ok GTG and logged.... lol Wasn't the first time I saw it there. Just curious as to what the majority have seen the usage as?" Anyone else seen any odd server differences? I know camp names can vary wildly (on other servers, the BoT camps are called Earth, Water, etc. rather than South, West, etc.) but hadn't considered how different acronyms could be? ------------ // ------------ 9. Messages None None None ------------ // ------------ 10. Feedback Please feel free to send all feedback about this newsletter to tnt-newsletter@darkstorm.co.uk. Let me know if you'd like to see any additional sections or content, and if you have any content to contribute. The best way to get content into the newsletter, is to post it to the boards, and I'll pick it up. If you like, send me a pointer requesting it be added, but the board is the first place you should stick it :) If you would like to stop receiving the newsletter, or would like to change your e-mail address, or any other administrative mail should also be sent to tnt-newsletter@darkstorm.co.uk - please remember to include your character name and e-mail address. You can also send me a tell in game as Eviltrix if I'm on, but you should be prepared for vitriol :p ------------ // ------------
